Oberkoetter monument in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, located in Bloomington, McLean County, Illinois. Tombstone of F.H. Oberkoetter, born 25 Jan. 1828 and died 22 July 1895. Anna, his wife, born 7 Oct. 1836 and died 22 March 1903. Note that I am not related to these individuals, and do not have further information on them.

Tombstone Tuesday – Elam Genung
Here lies Reverend Elam Genung. He was born on 27 May 1796 in New Jersey, and died on 05 Nov 1845 in Indiana. He was a Methodist preacher who founded the Trinity United Methodist Church in New Albany, Indiana, which was dedicated on 20 June 1817. He is buried in the Hancock Chapel United Methodist Cemetery in Hancock Chapel, Harrison County, Indiana.

Tombstone Tuesday – Bair/Baer/Bahr
Rudolph Baer/Bair/Bahr was born on 31 Jul 1751 in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, and died on 31 Oct 1819 in Stark County, Ohio. He was said to be the first white settler in Paris Township, Stark County, Ohio. He was also a member of the convention which formed the Ohio state constitution. He was my 6th great grandfather.
